The film is a surprising 13 minutes long. Starring Huracán Ramírez, it tells the story of the fighter who comes out of retirement to fight an evil foe. “Lucha Libre legend Huracán Ramírez is back to face a terrible threat— an evil piñata that is terrorizing all,” the video’s description reads.

On top of being impressively composed and shot, Huracán Ramírez vs. La Piñata Enchilada is quite entertaining.

This ‘Shot on iPhone 14 Pro’ feature utilizes the filming capabilities of the iPhone 14 Pro with the use of rigs, accessories, and editing software. Huracán Ramírez vs. La Piñata Enchilada was shot by Tania Verduzco and Adrián Pérez, who are commonly referred to as “Los Pérez.”

Apple also has a secret weapon for bringing PC games to Mac: DirectX 12 support. Now, Apple’s first update of Game Porting Tool for Mac significantly improves gaming performance.

The Game Porting Toolkit beta 1.0.2 update significantly improves game performance. YouTuber Andrew Tsai has run some tests with the new version, and in most scenarios, he was able to notice that games are running at higher frame rates.

With the new version, the frame rate when running the popular game Elden Ring has gone up from 26 frames per second to 32 frames per second on a Mac powered by the M1 Max chip. When running Cyberpunk on a M2 Ultra Mac, the average frames per second went from 8 FPS to 18 FPS.

Interesting, it seems that Game Porting Tool has some compatibility issues with Apple’s M1 Ultra and M2 Ultra chip, as the same games perform better on less powerful chips. This could be due to the fact that the Ultra chips combine two Max chips into one with UltraFusion technology, so perhaps the tool doesn’t yet have full support for it.

With M1 Max, Cyberpunk runs at 40 FPS. At the same time, some games that were not compatible with the tool before like Horizon Zero Dawn and Resident Evil 2 now work just fine.

“High Desert” follows Peggy (Patricia Arquette), an on-again-off-again addict who decides to make a new start after the death of her beloved mother, with whom she lived in the small desert town of Yucca Valley, California, and makes a life-changing decision to become a private investigator.

Arquette herself made the announcement Sunday.

While funny, High Desert wasn’t a feel-good comedy. It centered on an occasional drug addict played by Arquette who becomes a private investigator in a small desert town.

The series pulled in a 70% critics approval rating on the review-aggregation site Rotten Tomatoes, while audiences gave it a 79% approval rating.

But that apparently wasn’t enough for Apple TV+.

Investigators say the suspects intended to sell the sentimental items as scrap metal.

Before that could happen, officials say some of the loved ones affected took matters into their own hands and helped police find three of the suspected culprits.

“It is very frustrating having to do this over and over again,” said Tony Velazquez, who recently found out his uncle’s grave at the Restwood Memorial Park in Clute had been robbed… Velazquez says this time, the thieves were nice enough to take the flowers out of the vase and put them in the empty hole.

What the thieves didn’t know is that an Apple AirTag was attached to that vase and would help investigators track it and dozens more some 45 minutes away.

“They gave us the login information and allowed us to then track it. We tracked it to a residence right outside of the town of Brazoria,” said Clute Police Chief James Fitch. Fitch says they were able to arrest the suspects believed to be responsible for stealing 102 vases over the past two months. “These things run about 600 bucks a piece, so we’re talking $62,000 worth.”

Dillon Bryan Pollock, Cody Eben, and Daniel Lewis Hale are charged with third-degree felony theft… Police say a fourth suspect is still on the loose.
