A hiker in California’s Angelos National Forest was rescued when she was able to use her iPhone 14‘s Emergency SOS via Satellite feature.

Source; ABC7 Eyewitness NewsFirst introduced in the US with the iPhone 14 range in September 2022, Emergency SOS via Satellite lets users send text messages to rescue services. Since that launch, it was immediately responsible for saving lives, such as the rescue of two stranded women in Canada.
