Apple Wallet’s Car Key feature is now supported by 13 additional vehicle brands, bringing the total to 33. This feature allows users to access their cars using Apple Wallet on their iPhone or Apple Watch, enabling unlocking at a distance or nearby, depending on the manufacturer’s specifications.

Previously compatible with brands including BMW, Volvo, Mercedes-Benz, Kia, Lotus, Hyundai, BYD, and Audi, Apple’s Car Key feature will also include:

• Acura
• Cadillac
• Chery
• Chevrolet
• GMC
• Hongqi
• Lucid
• Porsche
• Rivian
• Smart
• Tata
• Voyah
• WEY

You can use your car key on your iPhone or Apple Watch to lock, unlock, and start your car. The way that you use your key and the features available depend on the model of your car. Contact the manufacturer or your dealership to find out what features your key supports.

When you add your car key to the Wallet app, Express Mode is turned on automatically. Express Mode allows you to use your car key without unlocking your device, or authenticating with Face ID, Touch ID, or a passcode.

MacDailyNews Takee: No timeline has been provided for when each of these new brands will implement the Car Key feature, but since Apple made the announcement at WWDC during its iOS 26 video presentation, we expect we’ll see these 13 additional vehicle makers implement their Car Key features sometime this year.
