Apple’s marketing chief, Greg Joswiak, today hinted at an upcoming product launch on X, posting “something powerful is coming” alongside a brief animation. The video flashes a MacBook Pro silhouette shaped like a V (the Roman numeral for 5) and the phrase “coming soon.” Joswiak’s caption also includes “Mmmmm,” featuring exactly five letter M’s.

Hopefully, Joz isn’t warning us of this:
Speculation points to Apple unveiling its M5 chip this week, debuting in the 14-inch MacBook Pro. Beyond the new processor, no significant design updates are anticipated for the device. Reports indicate Apple may release only the base 14-inch M5 model initially, delaying higher-end 14-inch and 16-inch versions with M5 Pro and M5 Max chips until 2026.
MacDailyNews Take: Yes, yes, finally, the PowerBook G5… err, the M5 MacBook Pro is coming!!!
