So now that the dust has settled on the Apple x Google announcement, I keep seeing the SAME take everywhere:

“Gemini is coming to iPhone.”
“Google is taking over Siri.”
“iOS is about to turn into Android.”

…and none of that is true. The simple explanation is this: Apple isn’t bringing Gemini to iPhone… Apple is rebuilding Siri on top of Gemini’s model as the “brain.” Think of it like Google supplies the engine, and Apple tunes it to feel like a Porsche.
