Macworld After launching a redesigned MacBook Air with a 13.6-inch display and M2 processor in the summer of 2022, Apple has now launched a a new, larger, model. The MacBook Air is 11.5mm thin, making it the thinnest 15-inch laptop. It’s also just 3.3lbs. Apple’s calling it the 15-inch MacBook Air but the screen is actually 15.3in with 5mm boarders. Like the 13-inch model there is 500 nits brightness, a 1080p camera and more. The chip is still the M2. BAttery life is 18 hours. And it will cost $1,299. Apple today announced new Mac Studio models with M2 Max and M2 Ultra chips. The new M2 Ultra chip features a 24-core CPU, a 76-core GPU, a 32-core Neural Engine, and support for up to 192GB of unified memory. Apple says the new Mac Studio with the M2 Ultra chip is up to 3x faster than the previous Mac Studio with the M1 Ultra chip. The new Mac Studio has the same overall design as the original model, but with a higher-bandwidth HDMI port that supports up to an 8K display at 240Hz.
