On Thursday, Apple TV+ announced the new 10-episode adult animated series “Strange Planet” will make its global debut on Wednesday, August 9, 2023. Based on the bestselling graphic novel and social media phenomenon of the same name, “Strange Planet” is a hilarious and perceptive look at a distant world not unlike our own. Adult animated series “Strange Planet” premieres August 9, 2023 on Apple TV+. Films, limited series, specials, and multi-season series—Apple’s got lots of irons in the fire. Some of these projects have been officially announced and acknowledged by Apple, while others have been reported by the Hollywood press, which always has its ear to the ground about what projects actors, directors, and producers are involved in. We’ve divided this list in two: Coming Soon is a list of shows for which Apple has given an official release date or release window, and Further Out compiles content that is still in production or perhaps haven’t even begun yet.
