Smart home accessory company Eve Systems has been updating its range of HomeKit devices with Thread support to improve reliability and connectivity, and the Eve Flare smart light is one of the latest products to get Thread support. The Eve Flare is a product that Eve Systems has had around for years now, and I reviewed it four years ago in 2019. Insta360, known for its range of 360-degree cameras that connect to smartphones, today announced the launch of the Insta360 GO 3. The Insta360 GO 3 is the latest version of Insta360's small, portable action camera. The camera is smaller than thumb size, weighing in at 1.2 ounces. It features a magnetic body that allows it to be mounted in a range of places, and there are several magnetic accessories. The Magnet Pendant can be worn around the neck for first-person POV filming, the Easy Clip can clip on to hats and other headworn accessories, and the Pivot Stand is a reusable sticky mount that also works with selfie sticks and tripods. Apple this week began selling its new Beats Studio Buds+ in the UK and most other countries, with the exceptions of Brazil, Mexico, and Taiwan, where the earbuds will be available starting mid-August. The earbuds first launched in the U.S. in May. Key new features of the Studio Buds+ include a transparent design option similar to the Nothing Ear (2) earbuds, up to 36 hours of battery life with the included USB-C charging case, and up to 1.6× as much active noise cancellation as the original Studio Buds that launched in 2021. Macworld Look, Mac gaming is not in good shape. Apple pitched the Mac mini with M2 Pro as a sort of showcase for how great Mac gaming can be, and I wrote about it earlier this year. It can indeed play games respectably, but a similarly-priced Windows PC is more than twice as fast for gaming, and the Mac vs. Windows game catalog is like comparing a cookie jar with a cookie factory. Sure, they both have good cookies, but these things are not the same.
