WhatsApp today introduced Channels, a feed-style one-way broadcast service coming to the popular chat platform where admins can send text, photos, videos, stickers, and polls to followers. WWDC 2023 was chock-full, but there was still a lot Apple didn’t say. | Illustration: The Verge Apple held a monstrous WWDC this year, and a ton of what was rumored, it turns out, will actually see the light of day. There’s the new 15-inch MacBook Air, M2-powered Mac Studio, and Apple’s finally realized AR headset — which we now know is called the Vision Pro. As usual, Apple didn’t touch on everything new during its opening keynote. In 2023, Apple updated the Mac Studio with the M2 Max and ‌M2‌ Ultra chips, with the latter being the most powerful Apple silicon chip to date. There are now two desktop Macs and four Apple silicon chip options for users who do not need the expandability of the Mac Pro. The ‌Mac Studio‌ starts at $1,999, dwarfing the $599 starting price of the ‌M2‌ ‌Mac mini‌ and even the $1,299 starting price of the ‌M2‌ Pro ‌Mac mini‌, so do you need the performance of…

Earlier this year, Apple announced a major update for its high-end MacBook Pro models, adding the M2 Pro and M2 Max chips, better battery life, Wi‑Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, and an HDMI 2.1 port. In 2022, Apple updated the MacBook Air with a complete redesign and the M2 chip, followed by an all-new 15-inch model this year, so how do the two product lines compare? Despite now being similar in appearance, the ‌MacBook Air‌ and the MacBook Pro are very different machines, so should you consider purchasing the 13- or 15-inch ‌MacBook Air‌, which start at $1,099, to save money, or do you need one of the higher-end 14- or 16-inch MacBook Pro models, which cost at least $900 more?…
