With the help of a little visual trickery and a fox clad in green threads, Tunic is every bit as clever as it is adorable. | Image: Finji Happy Saturday, y’all. The weekend is here, bringing with it deals, discounts, and savings on everything from e-bikes and smart plugs to portable speakers that are designed to soundtrack your next shindig. First up, however, is something a little more time-sensitive. As part of its ongoing Hyper Max Sale, Nintendo is offering discounts on both digital titles and DLC for the Nintendo Switch. The sale ends on Monday, June 26th, and Amazon and Best Buy are continuing to match Nintendo’s prices in most instances, making now a good time to prep your…
Macworld The Mac’s cursor (Apple actually calls it a pointer) is designed with a white outline and black fill. It’s a good combination, making it easy to spot no matter what is on screen. But man, is it boring. In past versions of macOS, you can’t change the cursor color without using a third-party utility. That changed in macOS Monterey, though. You can easily change the colors of the cursor to something that is easier to catch with your eyes or just add some flair to reflect your personality. The video below shows how it’s done in macOS Monterey, but below that are instructions for both Monterey and macOS Ventura. At a glance Time to complete: 5 minutesTools required: macOS…
Apple’s A17 Bionic SoC is expected to be the company’s first 3nm chip which will offer major performance and efficiency improvements over the 5nm fabrication used for the last three generations of Apple’s A-series chips. Hartley Charlton for MacRumors: The initial version of the A17 Bionic chip will reportedly be manufactured using TSMC’s N3B process, but Apple is planning to switch the A17 over to N3E sometime next year. The move is said to be a cost-cutting measure that could come at the expense of reduced efficiency. N3B is TSMC’s original ‌3nm‌ node created in partnership with Apple. N3E, on the other hand, is the simpler, more accessible node that most other TSMC clients will use. N3E has fewer EUV…

Illustration by Samar Haddad / The Verge If you’ve got an active Google account — or especially if you’ve got one you haven’t used in a while — you’ve probably got more apps and services hooked up to your account than you realize. There are all those places where you’ve “signed in with Google,” all those browser extensions you’ve given permissions to, all those add-ons that you’ve installed on top of Gmail and Google Drive, and so on. While it’s always a good idea to be selective and cautious in choosing which apps and sites get these privileges, there’s nothing intrinsically wrong with using your Google account instead of an email address and password combination or in giving another app…
