Half of the tablets shipped in the U.S. in the first quarter were Apple iPads. Tablets shipments dropped 7% to 10.8 million units, but performed better than PC shipments (desktops, notebooks, and workstations) in America, largely driven by Apple’s strong iPad performance in U.S. tablet market in the first quarter of 2023. Apple’s current 11- and 12.9-inch iPad Pro models PC shipments (desktops, notebooks and workstations) in the United States declined 28% year-on-year to 14.0 million units in the first quarter of 2023.
