Microsoft Corp., Nvidia Corp. and Apple Inc. combined are now worth more than China’s stock market. Subrat Patnaik for Bloomberg News: ‎ With a total market capitalization of about $9.2 trillion, the three most valuable tech firms have overtaken all of the nearly $9 trillion worth of stocks actively traded on Chinese exchanges excluding Hong Kong, according to data compiled by Bloomberg. Investor demand for artificial intelligence exposure has propelled many shares in the sector to record highs. Nvidia — arguably the biggest beneficiary of a massive flood of AI spending of the past year — saw its market capitalization hit $3 trillion this week, becoming the first computer-chip firm to do so. MacDailyNews Take: Technically, Apple, a fabless chip…
Apple CEO Tim Cook Shares of Nvidia surged more 5% on Wednesday hitting a new all-time record high of $1,224.40 and giving the company a market cap above $3 trillion for the first time. Security expert Kevin Beaumont recently said (via The Verge) that he was able to automate a program that provides plain text data of everything a user has viewed, despite Microsoft's claims that Recall information cannot be exfiltrated remotely. Beaumont claims that Recall is "essentially an infostealer" that's included in Windows by default, and that it will "set cybersecurity back a…

Medha Singh for Reuters: ‎ The reliance of virtually all artificial intelligence applications such as OpenAI’s ChatGPT on Nvidia’s high-end chips has helped the stock nearly triple in value over the past year to $2.72 trillion. In contrast, Apple ceded its No. 1 spot to Microsoft earlier this year as the once high-flying company grapples with weak demand for its iPhones and tough competition in China. It was last valued at $2.93 trillion. “It is certainly notable because Apple has been so dominant…
