Films, limited series, specials, and multi-season series—Apple’s got lots of irons in the fire. Some of these projects have been officially announced and acknowledged by Apple, while others have been reported by the Hollywood press, which always has its ear to the ground about what projects actors, directors, and producers are involved in. Macworld Live Text was introduced as a new feature in macOS Monterey, and it allows you to use the text in an image. It’s a feature that’s quite helpful—for example, if you’ve ever been in a meeting or lecture, and snapped a picture of a whiteboard filled with written information, you can now select the text in the photo, copy it, and then paste it into a document. There are a lot of ways you can use the Live Text feature, and it’s a huge time-saving production tool. Macworld The Mac’s cursor (Apple actually calls it a pointer) is designed with a white outline and black fill. It’s a good combination, making it easy to spot no matter what is on screen. But man, is it boring. In past versions of macOS, you can’t change the cursor color without using a third-party utility. That changed in macOS Monterey, though.
