It lacks a share button, but the Elite Series 2 makes up for it with a whole lot of customizable options. | Photo by Antonio G. Di Benedetto / The Verge The Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2 is down to one of its lowest prices: $144.99 ($35 off) at Amazon and direct from Microsoft. In the past, it was common for this premium gamepad to fall as low as $140, but since that’s become much less frequent, this second-best price is a welcome treat. Microsoft’s flagship controller for Xbox Series X / S consoles and the PC may have had its share of quality issues, but it remains our fave if you value a pad with handy functions like…
The 2023 Worldwide Developers Conference will take place the week of June 5 to June 9, and like the last three years, it will be an online event, although select developers and students will be invited to Apple Park. To kick things off, Apple holds a keynote event on the Monday to introduce new hardware and software, which is what makes it of interest to the general public. During the keynote event on Monday, June 5, Apple is expected to unveil new versions of iOS, iPadOS, macOS, watchOS, and tvOS. The company is also likely to reveal its long-awaited AR/VR mixed reality headset, as well as a new 15-inch MacBook Air, and possibly more besides. You can watch the WWDC…
Apple’s latest iPad Air might not be as cheap as the newer entry-level model, but it’s still a better value. | Photo by Amelia Holowaty Krales / The Verge Apple’s annual Worldwide Developers Conference may be right around the corner, but we’re not expecting to see a ton of news on the tablet front outside of the next iteration of iPadOS. That means now is as good a time as any to pick up Apple’s latest iPad Air, which is currently matching its all-time low of $499.99 ($100 off) at Amazon and Best Buy in the 64GB / Wi-Fi configuration. Apple’s midrange tablet, in our eyes, is the best iPad for most people. The 2022 fifth-gen Air packs in a…
Netflix is officially cracking down on password sharing in the United States and the United Kingdom, more than a year after it first announced the move. Netflix explained on its U.S. and U.K. websites how viewers who shared their account password to people outside their household would be affected, and what the additional costs would be if they still wanted to let out-of-household users access their account. Going forward, account holders on the Netflix Standard plan will have the option to add one person outside of their household, but they will have to pay an extra $7.99 a month (or £4.99 in the U.K.) for the privilege. Account holders on the Netflix Premium with 4K package can add up to…
Macworld Apple’s list of currently available content for Apple TV+ continues to grow, but there’s an even faster-growing list of projects in the works. Films, limited series, specials, and multi-season series, Apple’s got lots of irons in the fire for all of them. Some of these projects have been officially announced and acknowledged by Apple, but many have just been reported by the Hollywood press, which always has its ear to the ground about what actors, directors, and producers are getting involved with which projects. We’ve divided this list in two: Coming Soon is a list of shows for which Apple has given an official release date or release window, and Further Out compiles other announced and not-yet-officially-announced projects that…
The Liberty 3 Pro pack a lot of functionality into a fairly inexpensive package. | Photo by Chris Welch / The Verge Suffice it to say, with the introduction of the Beats Studio Buds Plus and Amazon’s latest pair of Echo Buds this morning, it’s been a busy week on the wireless earbud beat. But if you’re someone who doesn’t need the latest and greatest pair of earbuds, Anker’s Soundcore Liberty 3 Pro are currently matching their all-time low of $84.99 ($85 off) at Amazon, Walmart, and direct from Soundcore (with offer code WS24A3952BD). Anker may not have the same kind of brand recognition in the earbuds space as Apple, Sony, or Bose, but the Liberty 3 Pro offer a…
